Here’s a list of problems that come to mind regarding solar panels.

Not only does deforestation worsen the natural landscape, but it also hinders the absorption of carbon dioxide by plants.
Deforestation leads to the loss of water and soil conservation functions, sharply increasing the risk of landslides.
Thermography shows that the temperature of areas where plants once stood has changed from below 30°C to over 60°C.
Radiant heat from the panel surface creates a structure similar to the urban heat island effect in mountainous areas.
High temperatures cause volatilized chemicals and heavy metals to diffuse into the air.
This is affecting people with chemical sensitivity.
Sunlight is essential for the survival of plants and microorganisms, but mega solar power plants block sunlight, causing grass to wither and severely disrupting soil ecosystems.
Solar panels are manufactured using electricity from thermal power plants, emitting large amounts of CO2. It is said that 2-3 years of operation are needed to offset the CO2 emissions during manufacturing, but this can be longer if power generation efficiency is poor due to panel degradation.
Solar panels typically have a lifespan of 25-30 years. Disposal not only releases large amounts of CO2 but also leads to soil and groundwater contamination by harmful substances.
Harmful substances contained in solar panels include lead, cadmium, arsenic, and selenium, which are usually leached at levels exceeding standard limits, causing serious environmental and human health problems.
Solar panels are disposed of in two ways: recycling and landfill, but this leads to soil and groundwater contamination.

The Wider Limits and Consequences of Renewable Energy

Similarly, wind power generation produces massive carbon blades that become unmanageable waste, and operating turbines pose significant health risks due to infrasound and have a major impact on animals.

Furthermore, both solar and wind power generation are highly variable and based on natural conditions, making it impossible to supply electricity according to demand. Moreover, thermal power generation is necessary to meet electricity demand during rainy weather, meaning that no matter how much renewable energy is increased, it is impossible to stop the CO2-emitting thermal power generation.

In any case, while the goal of reducing carbon dioxide emissions is presented as a noble cause for protecting the global environment, it is actually leading to increased environmental destruction, natural disasters, and health problems for humans.
